HOUSE H CRAIGHALL PARK

Renovation to a typical 1950’s type corridor house. The existing house consisted of small, dark spaces which needed the be opened up and extended. We created a new open, light and spacious living area by opening up the old ceilings and putting in exposed rafters to give the narrow house a much bigger sense of space and volume. The main bedroom wing is a new extension and sits alongside the old existing structure as a floating glass and concrete box. Old and new are tied together by the cantilevering concrete roof slab. The property has a beautiful garden and the floor to ceiling glazing on three sides of the bedroom allow the nature in and give the bedroom a sense that it is floating in the greenery.
